Our Philosophy

At Reflective Behavioral Services, LLC, we believe that adults, children, and families can thrive when supported in a positive, nurturing environment that emphasizes therapeutic communication, respect, and encouragement. Our philosophy is grounded in the understanding that meaningful change occurs through guidance, practice, and supportive instruction within the home and community.

We utilize strength-based, individualized interventions that honor each person’s unique background, culture, and lived experience. By recognizing the impact of mental health, environmental factors, access to care, and personal safety on overall well-being, we work collaboratively with those we serve to promote long-term stability and independence.

Through consistent support and skill development, individuals and families are empowered to make continuous progress, reduce the risk of out-of-home placement, and sustain active, healthy participation in their communities.

Services

Intensive In-Home Services (IIH)

Intensive In-Home Services (IIH) is a short-term, therapeutic service provided directly in the client’s home. The primary goal of IIH is to stabilize family functioning and prevent the need for out-of-home placement, such as hospitalization, residential treatment, or foster care.

IIH is available to children and adolescents under the age of 21 who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, or cognitive challenges that place them at risk of removal from the home. Youth may be eligible for IIH services if they are experiencing two or more of the following:

  • Significant difficulty establishing or maintaining healthy interpersonal relationships, resulting in family or community conflict and increased risk of hospitalization or out-of-home placement

  • Ongoing inappropriate or unsafe behaviors that have required repeated intervention by mental health providers, social services, or the judicial system

  • Cognitive or developmental challenges that limit the ability to recognize personal safety risks or socially appropriate behavior

Services are family-centered and individualized, focusing on strengthening relationships, improving communication, enhancing emotional regulation, and equipping caregivers with practical strategies to support lasting change. By delivering services in the home, IIH allows for real-time support and meaningful progress in a familiar environment.

Mental Health Skill-Building Services (MHSS) provide goal-directed training and support for adults age 21 and older who are living with serious mental health conditions and need assistance maintaining stability and independence in the community.

MHSS focuses on restoring individuals to their highest level of functioning while supporting independence in the least restrictive environment possible. Services include training and reinforcement of functional skills and positive behavioral changes related to daily living, medication management, nutrition, community engagement, and health and safety.
